About Maria’s Role and Her Growth Mindset
What’s your role at Yoghurt Digital, and what does it entail?
As a Senior SEO Specialist, my days are full of research, website analysis, and digging deep into data to find opportunities to grow our clients’ organic channels. I also look after Yoghurt’s social media channels and help shape their strategy, which is a nice mix of technical and creative work.
What’s one digital marketing trend you’re currently excited about?
AI in marketing. I know a lot of people are hesitant, but I see it as something we need to embrace. If we learn how to work with it (rather than against it), we can make our strategies even bigger and better.
What’s your favourite tool or platform you use daily?
TikTok. Not just for fun (although it’s great for that too). My algorithm is wild, and I love how it serves up everything from random entertainment to under-the-table news.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Seeing those green metrics pop up. It’s so satisfying to know the work is paying off. Plus, getting to work with purpose-driven clients genuinely fills my soul.
What is your favourite thing about the company culture?
There’s no ego here. Everyone supports each other, and that makes all the difference.
What’s a piece of advice you’d give to someone starting in your field?
Be endlessly curious. You’ve got to enjoy researching random things and stay flexible because algorithms are always changing. ALL. THE. TIME.

What’s the first thing you do when you start your workday?
Coffee. Always coffee.
Walk us through a typical workday.
- Morning: Coffee in hand, checking in on clients’ metrics and industry news.
- Midday: Deep dives into data analysis, site audits, and social media planning.
- Afternoon: Collaborating with internal teams, testing new SEO strategies, and wrapping up with any pressing client updates.
- Evening: Dinner on the balcony with my flatmate. It’s a perfect way to unwind and vent if needed.
What’s your go-to productivity hack?
Noise-cancelling headphones, a good coffee, and (to keep it real) a chocolate bar.

Do you have any pets?
Not yet, but I’m planning to rescue a dog and already have the name picked: Wackamole. Wacky for short.

- Movies: Jojo Rabbit, Finding Neverland, Soul

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Teleportation. Imagine being able to be anywhere in the world in seconds. A dream.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Creamy pasta. Classic and comforting.
What’s your favourite place in the world and why?
Tallow Beach in Byron Bay. It’s such a long stretch of sand where you can feel completely alone and free. But Patagonia also has my heart. Maybe they share first place.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Exploring Sydney. There’s always something new, whether it’s the beach, national parks, markets, or foodie spots. Sydney has a little bit of everything for everyone.
