Welcome to The Yoghurt Scoop, where we shine a spotlight on the brilliant minds behind Yoghurt Digital. This time, we’re stepping into the world of Luke Chapman, our Growth Manager, who spends his days building relationships, sparking growth, and spreading the Yoghurt goodness far and wide. From flying (in theory) to perfecting a good spag bol (in practice), here’s your pass to life inside and outside Luke’s professional world.
About Luke’s Role and Growth Mindset
What’s your role at Yoghurt Digital, and what does it entail?
As Growth Manager, I focus on driving revenue growth for Yoghurt Digital. That means building and maintaining relationships with clients and partners, and finding solutions that help everyone involved grow. It’s all about long-term wins, for us and for the people we work with.
What’s one digital marketing trend you’re currently excited about?
I’m loving the push toward personalisation and the return of humour in marketing. There’s something powerful about content that feels very human, rather than robotic or salesy.
What’s your favourite tool or platform you use daily?
Pipedrive! It’s our CRM, and it’s open on my desktop all day. Couldn’t do my job without it.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
That moment when you introduce Yoghurt to someone new, and you know we’re going to make a real difference for their business. Starting that journey with a new client and watching the relationship grow is incredibly fulfilling.
What is a recent success that you had at work?
Bringing on a new partner who we’d been in talks with for a while—and already seeing the value we can deliver to them. It’s exciting to know we’ll be working with them for the long term.
What is your favourite thing about the company culture?
The support. It’s really genuine. Whether it’s through our #Cheers4Peers channel or spontaneous team lunches, there’s a real drive to see each other succeed.
What’s a piece of advice you’d give to someone starting in your field?
Patience and persistence. You’ll hear a lot of “no” before you hear a “yes,” and that’s okay. Every ‘no’ is just part of the path. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Leaning on your team makes a big difference and helps you level up faster.
Inside Luke’s Day
Walk us through a typical workday. What does your schedule look like?
- Morning: Catching up on LinkedIn and industry newsletters. It’s the best way to catch industry news and updates before diving into the day.
- Midday: Calls, proposals, and deep work in quiet spaces. I’ll often grab a booth or head to the boardroom to really focus.
- Afternoon: Checking in with internal teams, working through the CRM, and prepping for the next day.
- Evening: Wind-down time, usually with a bit of cooking.
What’s your go-to productivity hack?
Time-blocking in my calendar is a game changer. I also like to eliminate distractions by finding a quiet space to focus. Sometimes you’ve got to retreat to get things done.
Luke Outside the Office
What are your top 3 favourite books, podcasts, TV shows, or movies?
- Books: Lord of the Rings, The Great Gatsby, 1984
- Movies: Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Love Actually, The Dark Knight
- TV Shows: How I Met Your Mother, Friday Night Lights, Friends
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Flying so I’d never have to get to the airport three hours early again!
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Spag Bol. A classic. Never boring.
What’s your favourite place in the world and why?
Hyams Beach. It’s only a couple of hours away but it feels like a world of its own… quiet, peaceful, and full of nostalgia. I’ve been going since I was little, and it’s always a good time.
Do you have any pets?
I do! Ellie is my 5-year-old dog, and she’s the best.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Sport is a big one. I like playing and watching cricket and football. I also love walking Ellie, spending time with family and friends, and unwinding with a good meal.
How do you wind down after a busy workday?
Cooking. I really enjoy experimenting with new recipes—it helps me relax and shift gears after a full-on day.
We hope you’ve enjoyed this peek into Luke’s world. His focus, drive, and warmth are just a few of the things that make him such a key player at Yoghurt Digital. Stay tuned for more stories from the Yogis who keep our wheels turning (and occasionally spreading wings to avoid airports).
