Each one of our team members play an important role in keeping the agency a well-oiled machine. In our ‘meet the team’ series, we share insights into the lives of the talented individuals that make up our Yoghurt Digital family. 

1. What do you do at Yoghurt Digital? 

I’m an Account Manager, so I’m essentially the liaison between the specialists and our clients. My job is to ensure all the campaigns I manage are on track and moving forward, making sure the team has everything they need to complete their work, and coordinating all deliverables to the client.

2. If you weren’t doing that, what would you be doing? 

I’d be working in fashion for sure. I actually started out at university doing fashion through creative industries. I’ve always loved clothes and style and worked in retail all through my studies, but I quickly discovered that it was more of a hobby than a career path, especially given the competitive nature of the fashion industry in Australia.

I’ve found a way to merge my personal and professional passions together though through my interest in ecommerce, strategy and growth, which I’m able to explore and develop at Yoghurt with my ecommerce clients. My love of clothes hasn’t diminished either – I have a straight-up shopping addiction. Just ask the team about my daily parcel deliveries at the office…

3. What does a typical day look like for you?

First things first – emails. I’ll also prep for any calls or meetings I have that day, and make sure the team has everything they need from me or the client to get their tasks completed. I cop a lot of flak for being nosey and always having other people’s calendars open, but I feel it helps me prioritise my day to work around the team and their schedules. It also means I can manage clients’ expectations more effectively when locking in times for deliverables and meetings.

4. What is your favourite thing about working at Yoghurt Digital?

The people, for sure. It’s rare to work in an environment where you’re truly just mates with everyone you work with. I’m constantly blown away at how smart and talented the team is at Yoghurt – we’re constantly teaching and upskilling each other, and it makes coming to work an absolute pleasure every day.

5. What are the values that drive you in work and life?

I was taught from a young age to work hard and treat people how I would want to be treated. This is true both at work and in my personal life. It enables me to build better relationships and to know that when I go home at the end of the day I’ve done the best job that I could’ve done.

6. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I like to think I live a somewhat balanced out-of-work life. I’m very into health and fitness, usually getting to the gym or a class of some sort twice a day during the week. On the weekend, however, you’ll find me eating and drinking my way around Sydney, living well out of my means. But hey – life’s short!

7. What are your top 3 favourite books?

My dad and I have become very interested in philosophy over the past couple of years, often sharing our favourite snippets and ideologies with each other to keep our brain juices flowing. Three books that we continue to reference are The Daily Stoic, Atomic Habits and 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos.

For me, learning about philosophical ideologies and digging deeper into the workings of the mind has given me a better understanding of myself and has enabled me to interact with people in a more meaningful way. It also reminds me to not worry so much about the small things and to just live my best life.

8. What’s the best advice you have ever received?

It’s going to sound strange, but I recently re-watched Winnie The Pooh with a friend from work and I can’t even begin to tell you how relevant the life advice are – these are my favourites:

  • “You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
  • “Don’t underestimate the value of doing nothing, of just going along, listening to all the things you can’t hear, and not bothering.”
  • “Sometimes the smallest things take the most room in your heart.”

9. What’s your favourite dining spot in Sydney?

Bert’s Bar & Brasserie up at the Newport. It truly is the most divine spot for a long lunch overlooking the water. Best oysters in Sydney, and the lobster with house-made tagliolini would be my death-row dish for sure.

10. You’re on a deserted island and can only listen to one album for the rest of your days. Which one would you pick?

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis. This album holds so many dear memories for me growing up with my family. If I’m stressed or relaxed, happy or sad, Miles is always a go-to for a bit of nostalgia.

11. Which individual, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with the most? Why?

Patti Smith. I remember reading her book ‘Just Kids’ and thinking, “DAMN she’s cool!” I’m fairly certain she’d have a couple of naughty tales to share from the late sixties and seventies. My mum and I have always said that a dinner with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey would be pretty fabulous as well.

12. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

I don’t know if it’s a superpower, but I wish I could teleport anywhere in the world at any given moment. I’d visit all my mates in New York, London and Paris, then duck off to lunch in Positano for a spritz and a plate of scampi linguine.
